I never remember the 2nd Monday of every month.

How about making "Cover Tune Day" every Monday?

Lord knows there are plenty of covers to pick from on HR80s.

My vote would be no. Sure there are plenty of them on here, but not enough good ones (IMHO) to warrant doing it every week.

I agree with bl, once a month is enough. Would it help if those of us who remember could just post here the night before?

Back when it was started a few years ago, everyone agreed that once a month was enough....for the "official" Cover Tune Day, that is. But that's not stopping anyone from playing a cover anytime, any day. That's what's so great about this station!!!

The 2nd Monday of the month is great since it's never a holiday and it's a business day, which alot of listeners tune in at that time. If it was a specific day of the month, it could fall on a weekend or holiday.

Since it was originally my idea and I picked the 2nd Monday of the month, it has worked nicely. I usually try to "bump" this topic thread as a reminder, but most times on that Monday morning. So, Sunday night too perhaps?!? Da314Man, Keir, BlackLab, Skulls...need your help to remind the masses of the day!!! Never fear, I'm still on it, too

Wow, my daily Dream Theater RAR produced a cover tune earlier this morning. Maybe SAM has it marked in his calendar too.

Ah, cover day came early this month and even I forgot! Coincidentally I did include one cover in my morning block.
